Combining Rings

GUL Screening Inflatable Rings are designed for a specified nominal pipe size of 6" or larger diameter.

A standard set of Inflatable Rings covers pipes with diameters from 6" to 24", including sizes 6", 8", 10", 12", 14", 16", 18", 20" and 24". For even larger pipe diameters, custom rings can be produced.

However, an key advantage of Inflatable Rings is the possibility to combine two rings to form a larger one, eliminating the need to purchase additional rings. Keep in mind that sufficient modules to populate both rings are required.

For example, a 30" Compact^™ Ring and a 26" Compact^™ Ring can be combined to inspect a 60" (DN 1500) pipe; as illustrated in the adjacent photograph.

Combination Size Charts

Creating the correct combined ring size involves selecting the right initial ring sizes. Refer to the charts below for guidance. Please note, for most combinations, it will be necessary to use long arms to replace the standard closing arms of one ring.

		These combinations are not recommended.
